  6. This review is based on the full version played on a 486 DX2-66 PC.

  8. This is a classic racing game brought to you by the wizards at 
  9. Gremlin.  You are a racing driver, naturally. The menus are very user
  10. friendly and every race can be customised to the individual user, 
  11. easily.

  13. The games itself holds many options ranging from the type of course 
  14. you play to the  type of music you play while playing the game.
  15. The actual difficulty and variables of the gameplay can be 
  16. changed by increasing\decreasing the amount of the particular 
  17. variable within the game using the RECS option located in the main 
  18. menu.

  20. The model of the Lotus car the user wishes to use can be changed. 
  21. The colour of the car is really what can be changed but each car has 
  22. a set of different statistics, for instance you one will have a 
  23. faster acceleration rate that others and so on.  The music and also 
  24. be changed.  The sound track which can be selected a choice of 6  
  25. tracks or you can have sound of the engine to give realistic racing 
  26. sounds to the user.

  28. Each track has different weather conditions or obstacles, these are 
  29. snow, rain, desert, mountain, planet, muddy, motorway, fog, night, 
  30. roadworks or logs.  Each level can be changed so that it is harder 
  31. or easy, depending on what the user wants.  You do this by changing
  32. to percentage of each option in RECS such as obstacles, turns etc.

  34. The game itself hold many features but a lot more could have been 
  35. done to improve the game.  The sound is good but there could have 
  36. been a wider choice because the tracks are mainly ambient techno 
  37. reggae which can be annoying after a while.

  39. The graphics are very good for the early nineties, in some cases the
  40. graphics can become blocky but the addictiveness takes over and you
  41. begin to forget about it.

  43. As we have said it is very addictive, once you begin to play you just
  44. can't put the joypad down.

  46. The overall view of this game is very good.  I would highly recommend
  47. this game to my worst enemy.  There could be a lot more done to the 
  48. game, the graphics could be smoothed over and the cars could be a 
  49. little less annoying when blocking and obstructing.
